Through movement, mindfulness, and age-appropriate programs, Lake Shala helps children, teens, and student athletes cultivate body awareness, resilience, and lifelong habits that support wellness, recovery, and healthy development.

What is Kids Yoga?

Kids Yoga at Lake Shala blends movement, mindfulness, breathwork, relaxation, creativity, and play in a supportive small-group environment.

Classes are intentionally designed to help children and teens:

  • move their bodies with confidence,

  • develop mindfulness and self-awareness,

  • practice breathing and relaxation skills,

  • build focus and emotional regulation,

  • and connect in a non-competitive environment.

Every student is welcome exactly as they are.

Programs for Every Stage

Young Children (Ages 3–5)

Playful movement, imagination, balance, breathing, and confidence-building.

Kids (Ages 6–11)

Movement, mindfulness, focus, teamwork, relaxation, and emotional awareness.

Teens (Ages 12–15)

A supportive space for stress reduction, body awareness, confidence, mindful movement, and self-care.

Student Athletes (Grades 8–12)

Mobility, recovery, balance, breathwork, and body awareness to support athletic performance and lifelong wellness.

Summer Kids Yoga Sessions

June 22-25 | 9:00 am - 10:00 am - enrollment closed

July 13-16 | 9:00 am - 10:00 am (Grades K-5)

Start the day with movement, mindfulness, and fun. This morning series introduces children to gentle, age-appropriate yoga-based movement, breathing, and mindfulness practices in a calm, supportive environment. Classes focus on building strength, balance, body awareness, and emotional regulation through movement and relaxation.

Perfect for grades K-5.

No prior yoga experience is needed.
