About the Studio
Lake Shala was founded in 2025 by Jenni Packard with the vision of creating more than just a yoga studio—it’s a space to return to yourself. Inspired by the Sanskrit word Shala, meaning "home" or "abode," Lake Shala was built as a sanctuary for the lake community: a place to feel grounded, supported, and connected through every season of life.
At Lake Shala, we believe yoga is for every body. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time, adding variety to your fitness routine or looking to deepen your practice - you are welcome here!
Come as you are. Grow at your own pace.
About the Owner
Jenni resides in Orono with her husband, Brandon, and their daughter, Eleanor. She first discovered yoga during college while searching for a new workout routine. Over time, her practice has grown to enhance both her mental and physical well-being. The benefits for cardiovascular health, stress relief, and tension release initially drew Jenni back to the mat, but the overall transformation she experienced has been far greater.
Jenni is a certified RYT-200 yoga instructor and has taught at various studios in the Minneapolis area. Her teaching style emphasizes presence, ease, and connection. When she’s not teaching, Jenni enjoys being at the lake, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
